The "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" actress and her fiancé, Dax Sheppard, first became engaged in 2010 although they stated that they would delay their marriage until same-sex marriage was legalized. In 2012 the pair co-starred in "Hit and Run." At the end of that year, Bell also announced that she would be expecting her first child.

On Wednesday the actress, 32, was photographed showing off her bare bump to friends. Due sometime at the end of spring, the actress celebrated her baby shower over the weekend. Thus far, Bell has taken her pregnancy lightly, and has made jokes about her bump before.

"Let's hear it for the glow!" Bell said on Jay Leno in January after he complimented her on her pregnancy. "I'm about 400 pounds-months pregnant," she joked.

During the interview Bell suggested that it was her "pregnancy brain" that was making her take everything in stride.

"The funny thing is, [pregnancy brain] is genetically in your body so you don't have like a killer wit and abuse the kid," she said. "You kind of soak up all these wonderful hormones and you're just really nice and dumb the whole time."

Some reports suggested that Bell had suffered morning sickness early on, but both are apparently excited to be parents.

"They're so excited - they're both ecstatic. They can't wait to become parents. Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of 'House of Lies' and is feeling great now," a source told People in November.
