Kristen Bell and her fiancé Dax Shepard have announced this week that they are expecting their first child together.

The actors had been dating since 2007 when they became engaged in January 2010.

A representative for the couple confirmed Bell's pregnancy.

"They're so excited, they're both ecstatic," said the celebrity rep, according to People magazine. "They can't wait to become parents."

Bell, 32, realized she was pregnant while filming Showtime's series "House of Lies."

"Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of 'House of Lies' and is feeling great now," added the rep.

Meanwhile, Shepard is well known for his role on NBC's series "Parenthood."

The couple recently starred in the film "Hit and Run" together and spoke openly about their future while promoting the summer flick. While not yet married, the couple admitted that children would probably come before their nuptials.

Both Shepard and Bell appeared on "Larry King Now" in August discussing their relationship. When the show's host Larry King asked the couple if they had planned on having a family, both actors replied enthusiastically, "Yes!"

"We'll have them out of wedlock," said 37-year-old Shepard. "We're not worried about that."

"It doesn't really bother us," agreed Bell.
