Kristen Stewart is reportedly disappointed that Robert Pattinson did not visit her upon his return to the US recently however the actress is doing her best to be supportive.
The British actor, 27, briefly returned to the US from the UK over New Year's Eve to catch up with friends. On Jan. 2 Pattinson was photographed enjoying brunch with friends including actress Dakota Fanning in Brooklyn, New York.
While Stewart, 23, was hoping the actor would visit her in Los Angeles, he instead opted to return to London where he is filming his upcoming movie "Queen Of The Dessert." He is also expected to pass through the Middle East to film various scenes.
"Kristen was looking forward to seeing Rob before he left for Morocco. There was talk of him possibly coming to LA after his New York trip, but he decided to spend the remainder of his time before filming with his family in London," an alleged friend of Stewart's told HollywoodLife.com.
"Of course Kristen was disappointed with his decision, but she's been nothing but supportive and understanding. She realizes how important his family is to him," the insider said.
In May the "Twilight" stars split after four-years of dating however they reunited in October and are said to be on friendly terms. While they have not officially reconciled, fans are hoping that the pair will eventually get back together.
"They have been staying in touch, sometimes they Skype or text each other," the friend revealed.
"They are both going to be really busy soon. Kristen prefers it when she's busy working, and she's excited to go to Sundance. She's super proud of 'Camp X-Ray,'" the source added.
The report comes days after Pattinson was linked to London-based artist Nettie Wakefield, 26, following a dinner date in London.
