Kristen Stewart's parents are reportedly struggling to support her after she admitted to cheating on her boyfriend Rob Pattinson with a married man.
John Stewart and Jules Mann-Stewart are reportedly devastated by news that their 22-year-old daughter had an affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, 41. New reports suggest that Stewart's parents have now even turned against her.
"[Her parents] feel Kristen has really embarrassed herself and don't blame Rob for not calling her back," a source told Us Weekly Magazine. "This is not the Kristen they know."
The actress, who has dated Pattinson, 26, for three years, released a public apology in which she admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with Sanders, a married father of two.
Stewart was photographed intimately hugging Sanders in private on several occasions which she referred to as a "momentary indiscretion." The close embrace led to speculation that the pair was having an affair, which the both almost immediately owned up to.
The "Twilight" star has been described as being upset and "inconsolable" over the cheating scandal, and her anguish is only likely to worsen if reports of Pattinson preparing to end their relationship prove to be accurate.
"[Kristen's] dying to save the relationship. It's the only thing she cares about," a source said, adding that "she can't believe she f----- all this up and ruined everything."
Pattinson is reportedly hiding away at his "Water For Elephants" costar Reese Witherspoon's Ojai, Calif., ranch. He has allegedly stopped taking Stewart's phone calls.
"Rob is not taking Kristen's calls and he isn't much of a texter as they don't text each other. Not only has he left the house they share but he is leaving the situation all together cold turkey to have time to himself and deal with it on his own terms. He currently wants to be as far from Kristen symbolically and physically right now while he deals with what has happened," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
