The Galaxy had faced the Seattle Sounders Sunday and resulted in a loss with a score of 2-1 in favor of the Sounders. If anything, the match was close call and almost cost them the chance to play at the MLS Cup Finals if not for the strike Juninho did at the second half of the match.

The Sounders took the lead at the first half of the match, gaining a 2-point lead.
