LA Lakers NBA 2015 News, Rumors: Kobe Bryant Discusses Jordan, Westbrook in Interview

LOS ANGELES--Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant graced a one-on-one interview with Ahmad Rashad prior to the All-Star Weekend.

In the said interview that was aired on NBA TV and various international sports channels a day after the All-Star Game, Bryant talked about his current status after deciding to have his rotator cuff repaired and his thoughts on some other NBA superstars.

Bryant vowed to Rashad that he will return next season as he wants to check if he can still pull something with his old age and an injury-prone body.

"The process of it. I want to see if I can. I don't know if I can. I want to find out. I want to see," Bryant, who will miss the remainder of this season, said.

He also said that he learned a lot from Michael Jordan, who led the Chicago Bulls to a three-peat at the time Bryant jumped out of high school to join the Lakers.

Bryant admitted, "I learned a lot in his game--how technically sound Michael was.... His technique was flawless."

He also admitted that he is not the Kobe Bryant everyone knew before, but he vowed he is still on a path to greatness.

He continued, ''I don't have the physical ability that I had back then[, but that] doesn't mean I can't still be a dominant or great player.''

He also hinted that there was a conflict between him and Shaquille O'Neal, who together led the Lakers to three titles from 2000 to 2002, that ultimately led to the latter being traded to the Miami Heat in 2004.

"Were you guys friends?" Rashad asked. "No," Bryant boldly replied, claiming that they had totally different views.

On the other hand, he said that Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook reminds him of himself. "He played me like I did. Just the way I play," Bryant explained.
