LA Lakers vs Orlando Magic face off in Sunday night's NBA game with Dwight Howard set to play against his former team for the first time since leaving the Magic for the Lakers. The game is scheduled to tip off at 9.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream via the link provided below.

Howard joined the Lakers in August in a deal that involved four teams, and saw Andrew Bynum exit Los Angeles for Philadelphia. Howard spent eight seasons in total with the Magic in a stay that spanned 621 games. Over that period he averaged 18.4 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.

Since moving to the Lakers Howard has averaged 18.6 points and 11.1 boards. Ahead of tonight's game he has said, "It's going to be a little weird playing against my former team. But we need a good win. So I'll put all my effort into getting ready for the next game, playing with a lot of intensity and just having fun," according to the Associated Press.

Howard is coming into this game hitting peak form, and gave his best performance since joining the Lakers in Friday's game against Denver. In that match up he registered 28 points as well as a season high 20 rebounds in the Lakers' confident 122-103 home win.

He delighted Los Angeles fans by shooting 12 of 16 from the field and scored one of 17 three pointers by the Lakers.

That win was the third under new coach Mike D'Antoni, and brings his record since taking over to 3-3.

It has been an up and down season for the 8-8 Lakers so far. Although the Denver game marked their highest score of the season at 122, the game before that marked their lowest score of the season with just 77 against Indiana.

But Los Angeles banished all memories of that poor Indiana performance on Friday night, scoring an amazing 71 points in the first half alone.

D'Antoni has said of that good win, "It's the way we want to play. We've got a lot of talent out there, and it's got to mesh, and the ball has got to move."

Meanwhile the Magic have had a torrid season and come into this match up with a poor 5-10 record. It has been a stunning decline since Orlando won their opening two games. They have now lost three straight games due to their defeat against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, where they lost 98-86.

When asked about what it would be like to face old friend Howard in tonight's game, Glen Davis was distracted by the Magic's own issues: "I don't care (about facing Howard and the Lakers). Dwight's got his own problems and we've got problems over here," according to AP.

The recent history between these two teams has favored the Magic, who have won six of their past nine games against the Lakers. However, if current form books stay true tonight then the Lakers will be able to claw back a win tonight.
