Lady Gaga has revealed that she will be making her debut as an actress in new upcoming movie "Machete Kills." The singer turning actress made the revelation in a Twitter posting to fans.
"Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH!" she tweeted.
"Filming was insane," Gaga added.
A poster has emerged showing Lady Gaga with a wolf skin cover wrapped around her as she holds a smoking gun. The title to the poster says "Lady Gaga as La Chameleon."
Machete Kills is expected to be released in 2013 and is being directed by Robert Rodriguez.
The film is a sequel to both the 2010 film, "Machete," the fake trailer in "Grindhouse" and a spin-off of "Spy Kids."
The script for the movie was written by Rodriguez and he has managed to gather an array of stars for the filming. Machete Kills will star Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Michelle Rodriguez all reprising their roles from the first film.
However, there is also a long list of newcomers to the series, including Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Sofía Vergara, Demián Bichir, Cuba Gooding Jr., Alexa Vega, Zoe Saldana, Amber Heard, Tom Savini, William Sadler with Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson.
The film will follow the titular ex-federale (Trejo) as he is recruited by the United States government to stop an arms dealer (Gibson) from launching a deadly missile.
Lady Gaga also recently caused a stir among her millions of Twitter fans when she posted comments about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's recent troubles. Kristen Stewart has confessed to having an affair behind Pattinson's back. Gaga posted to her 27 million followers on the social media site: "Geez this [Kristen Stewart] rob stuff is brutal. Makes me sad the way the press acts. hope they're ok."
