The Lamborghini Asterion hybrid was debuted at the Paris Motor Show Thursday, and the electric blue concept car certainly didn't disappoint. Supercar enthusiasts from all around the world had heard rumors that the Italian manufacturer was making a hybrid, and at 897 horsepower, the Asterion still has the power of a Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 is the first ever hybrid from the company. Along with the 602-hp 5.2-liter V10 motor are three electric motors that together produce an additional 295 hp. The concept car is capable of running only the V10 motor to conserve battery, the electric engines to conserve gas, or both at once for maximum performance, which is 0-60 mph in just under three seconds.

Inside the car is ivory leather, aluminum and lightweight carbon fiber and titanium to account for the additional 551 lbs of the electric motors. Instead of multiple controls in the dashboard, the Asterion has a portable tablet that controls audio, air conditioning GPS navigation and other features.

While the Lamborghini Asterion doesn't have scissor doors like many of the older brothers, but it does have curvy edges, a raised windshield and passengers sit higher than in other models.

The Asterion was named after the half-bull half-man mythical beast we know as the Minotaur. Like the fable, the concept car is just an idea for now. If enough buyers are interested, perhaps the super car could become reality, but right now its not for sale.
