Lark Voorhies Divorce News: 'Saved by the Bell' Star Ends 6-Month Marriage to Jimmy Green

Lark Voorhies has finally ended her six-month marriage to Jimmy Green and asked the court to block ex-spousal support.

The former "Saved by the Bell" star met music engineer Jimmy Green on Facebook and a year-long romance ensued between them. Lark Voorhies got hitched to him in April this year during a secret wedding ceremony held in Las Vegas, according to the New York Daily News.

Based on documents obtained by gossip site TMZ, Voorhies had also requested the court to block requests for ex-spousal support.

In an interview with TMZ, Green said he also wanted to file for divorce, but he did not know how to do it. The couple had struggled with several rocky phases in their short marriage. The day after their wedding ceremony, Green's criminal records surfaced and he was discovered to be wanted in Tucson, Arizona for threatening a store owner three years ago.

A couple of months after Voorhies and Green got married, they were very upbeat about their future. In an interview with E! News, Green had said he and his wife will "live life to the fullest" and be happy each day for the rest of their lives.

Voorhies' family, on the other hand, did not approve of the union. They felt the relationship was a dangerous one and they wanted the former actress to have the marriage annulled at the time. Voorhies is staying with her mother, and the latter wanted Green to be out of the house every night. But Patricia Voorhies had repeatedly discovered Green hiding inside and the situation in the house continued to become more intense, the Inquisitr reports.

For Patricia's part, she was only concerned about her daughter because she said Lark has a bipolar disorder and has special medical needs. However, the "Saved by the Bell" actress denied her mother's statement and insisted that she only had "textbook clinical depression" after she married her first husband Miguel Coleman.
