'Law & Order SVU' Season 15 Spoilers: B.D. Wong Welcomed Back, Will Benson Get a Baby?

"Law & Order: SVU" fans will be thrilled to see B.D. Wong return as Dr. George Huang later this season. Viewers have already had to say goodbye to two beloved, long-time characters and Wong's return is sure to be a high point for the series.

Wong will return as the psychologist called in to evaluate a suspect accused of attempted kidnapping and raping a child. His testimony causes a rift in the room when his evaluation is not necessarily helpful to prosecutors wanting to put the suspect away.

It's been a rough season for those on the "SVU" set, with original members Dann Florek and Richard Belzer left the series. Benson has battled her nemesis both physically and psychologically, and that ended with him taking his life in front of her. Now she stands ready to fight for her job after admitting to police brutality, though no one on the squad actually knows the horror of what she endured.

"She's been tormented by the fact that she lied under oath," showrunner Warren Leight told TV Guide. "I think that's part of her character. The initial lie came moments after she'd survived that ordeal and she got locked into it because that's how this system works. If you think of William Lewis as her character's worst nightmare, the other thing that plagues her is she is a woman of absolute integrity who lied under oath in front of a jury."

Leight also hinted that now that Lewis is gone, Benson may be free to open her heart and home to a baby, finally fulfilling one of her dreams.

"It would be great for her character to have a kid in her life, and is that something we can accomplish in whatever time we have left here at 'SVU' is interesting to me. The notion that Olivia can never be happy is probably due for a slight makeover … maybe she's ready to change a diaper," Leight said.

"SVU" returns with all-new episodes on April 30 on NBC. Wong's return will be featured on May 14.
