'Law & Order: SVU' Season 16 Spoilers Detail Out an Incest Rape Case; Finale Details Revealed

This week's episode of the hit police-procedural TV drama series "Law & Order: SVU" Season 16 titled "Perverted Justice" is said to feature some familiar faces returning to the show. Here's what we heard.

A report from Design & Trend said that Captain Cragen (Dann Florek) and Bayard Ellis (Andre Braugher) will return once again to help Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) and the rest of the SVU team tackle on a 17-year-old case.

The official synopsis released by NBC and shared by the publication indicates that Ellis is going to take on a case involving an incarcerated man guilty of incest and rape. The convict's daughter, Michelle, who turns out to be both the victim and star witness of his father's crime, wants to renounce her testimony and intends to see her father getting out of jail.

The summary went on to mention that when the presiding judge refuses to reopen the old case, the SVU will call on the retired Captain Cragen who has the knowledge on the investigation. His statement could provide further evidence which could "change the convict's fate."

The official promo video provided by the network for the upcoming segment shows Ellis interrogating the rape victim. When asked about the truth, she breaks down and sobs in court.

Meanwhile, details of the finale episode titled "Surrendering Noah" will focus on Johnny D, Noah's father.

It appears that Johnny knows about his son and this information could give him some leverage over Benson.

Spoiler reports indicated that Benson could lose Noah. Executive producer Warren Leight meanwhile said (via TV Guide) that fans will eventually see the conclusion of the issue.

"I hate to give away there's not a cliff-hanger beacause the stakes are pretty high, for the most part they wrap up by the end of the episode," the showrunner said (via Ecumenical News).

"Perverted Justice" airs this Wednesday, May 6, while the finale, "Surrendering Noah," is slated to come out this May 20.
