LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian will debut their new reality TV show this week and a new report claims the actor's ex-wife Brandi Glanville is considering taking legal action.

Rimes, who rose to stardom as a country music star in the 1990s, and Cibrian, who made his mark in acting around the same time, will make their mark as a couple in the world of reality television on Vh1's "LeAnn & Eddie" which premieres July 17.

In a preview of the eight-episode series, the couple gives fans a glimpse into their marriage, which started out as an affair back in 2009. In a number of scenes both Rimes, 31, and Cibrian, 41, appear to take digs at Glanville, who shares two children with the former soap actor, and insiders claim the show could trigger a lawsuit.

"Eddie was worried that if Brandi bad-mouthed him, it would hurt his career," a source told Life & Style magazine.

"But the clause works both ways and she thinks he and LeAnn have completely violated it. She doesn't give a crap what they think about her behind closed doors, but to attack her on TV, where it can affect her children — it's disgusting," the source explained.

Glanville stars in the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and Rimes and Cibrian are said to have banned the single mom from featuring her children on the hit reality TV show. As a result, the boys will also not appear on "LeAnn & Eddie."

"We do discuss Eddie's ex-wife when it needed to be discussed," Rimes admitted to the summer TV critics' meeting. "You can't really do a show without talking about that."

Rimes, who was once married to chef Dean Sheremet, had an extramarital affair with Cibrian while he was still married to Glanville and the drama surrounding the scandal has been played out publicly ever since.

"Our relationship didn't quite start off like we had planned," Rimes said in the trailer.

"We were both married to other people when we fell in love. Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened," Eddie said.

Some critics have openly blasted the couple on social media for appearing to be unapologetic in the show's trailer, while fans have pointed out that the affair occurred five years ago.

While they were both famous for their respective work prior to cheating, much of their current publicity revolves around their affair and the seemingly neverending drama that continues to surround it.

"Contrary to what some people think (cough) my ex-wife, I actually do work," Cibrian says in one scene while taking a jab at Glanville.

In another scene, Rimes, who sought professional help for "stress" back in 2012, is heard discussing Glanville supposedly needing rehab with a group of women.

The troubled singer and the "Real Housewives" star are renowned for going back and forth with subliminal insults on Twitter and still to this day appear to dislike one another.

"She said Brandi needs rehab … yeah for alcohol," Rimes is heard saying.

In one bizarre scene the happy couple joke about Cibrian sharing messages with his ex-wife.

"Whose texting?" Rimes asks Cibrian who is reading a message on his cell phone.

"It's just Brandi," the actor jokingly responds prompting Rimes to nudge him.
