LeAnn Rimes Claims Brandi Glanville's Sons Call Her 'Mom'

LeAnn Rimes recently opened up about her relationship with the children of her longtime rival Brandi Glanville and her comments have sparked outrage.

Rimes and Glanville have been embroiled in an ongoing feud ever since the troubled singer had an extramarital affair with the reality TV star's now ex-husband actor Eddie Cibrian. The 30-year-old singer went on to marry Cibrian, who shares two children with Glanville, making Rimes a stepmother to them.

"Sometimes they'll blurt out: 'Mom!', but I just go with whatever they call me," Rimes told British magazine Fabulous of what Glanville's sons Jake, 5, and Mason, 9, call her. "As long as it's nice and respectful, I couldn't care less."

For years Glanville, 40, and Rimes have had heated exchanges via social networking site Twitter, with Glanville often accusing the singer of not having boundaries with it some to her sons. Rimes' comment has angered Glanville fans.

"They have been very accepting," she continued of her stepsons. "It's taken a while to feel like it's not just Eddie and the two boys and then me. But I do feel that's happening, and the love that I have for them is tremendous."

Surprisingly Glanville, who rarely holds back when it comes to speaking out against Rimes, did not entertain the singer's bizarre interview. Critics recently suggested that the pair was at war, which Glanville denied.

"I am not in a war with ANYONE (maybe the tax man)," Brandi tweeted. "As I promised I refuse to engage. Peace Love and Happiness people."

In a recent interview the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star was far less reserved when she suggested that Rimes uses her two sons as pawns to hurt her.

"What it is, is how [LeAnn] just doesn't have boundaries when it comes to my children and it upsets me because it was like that even when I was still married to Eddie and they were together," Glanville told OK! magazine.

"She was … tweeting things about them and texting me really horrible things [saying] 'I love the boys. I can't wait to make their lunches,'" she continued.

During a previous appearance on the "Wendy Williams" show Glanville was asked how Rimes is as a stepmother to which she replied "overbearing, well sorry, she is!"
