LeBron James has jumped straight over a rival player to score what some are calling one of the best slam dunks ever.

The 6ft 8in Miami Heat basketball star leapfrogged over Chicago Bulls' 5ft 11in John Lucas Jr to dunk a lob pass by teammate Dwayne Wade.

The spectacular dunk delighted Miami Heat fans who saw James score a game-winning 35 points and 11 rebounds, as Miami won 97-93.

James has to make a bigger effort to get to the game at all, as reports claim he was seen riding to the game on his bike to beat delays caused by the Miami marathon. Drivers saw James riding past them in traffic, wearing his helmet, as he undertook a 40 minute ride to the venue. However, he made it to the American Airlines Arena for the game to stun the opposition and put on a show for his fans.

However, the Chicago Bull's Derrick Rose had the chance to change the course of the result near the end of the game, but missed a pair of foul shots, which would have put Chicago in the lead with just over 20 seconds remaining.
