'Legends Of Tomorrow' Season 2 Spoilers: Legends Go Up Against Legion of Doom & Dominators; First Mission is to Save Kidnapped Albert Einstein

Premiere episode goes back in time to 1942 where the Legends save New York City and Einstein.

An extended trailer was released prior to the October 13 premiere of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. More than anything, the trailer showed off iconic comic book moments that the fans can expect in the new season.

Season premiere trailer released

As seen in the trailer, "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 will pick up right from where the first season left off. Rex Tyler aka Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) can be seen arriving just as the Legends team defeated Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). He wants to warn the team of an impending doom.

Hourman was with the members of the Justice Society of America or the JSA which "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 spoilers say, will have major roles to play in the upcoming season.

Other superheroes seen in the trailer

The "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 trailer also showed other DC superheroes such as Obsidian (Lance Henriksen) who has the ability to control shadows, Stargirl (Sarah Grey) who wields a cosmic staff and Commander Steel aka Henry Heywood (Matthew MacCaull). He is the grandfather of Citizen Steel/Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano). Also joining them is the blind superhero, Dr. Mid-Nite (Kwesi Ameyaw).

Two groups of villains

According to reports about the new season of "Legends of Tomorrow", the Legends team will have a band of villains known as the Legion of Doom as their enemies. The villain group is made up of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and lastly, Reverse-Flash (Matt Letsher).

Aside from these "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 baddies, the team of Legends will also go up against another group of villains who are collectively called as the Dominators. They will meet each other in a major crossover episode which will feature popular DC superheroes, the Flash (Grant Gustin), Arrow/Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).

Protecting history

A shocking discovery will be made by Dr. Nate Heywood that will make him contact Oliver Queen (Amell) to help him locate all the members of the Legends team who have been scattered all over. Once the team gets reunited in the "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 premiere, the superheroes will protect history's timeline from unusual changes that may lead to some disastrous results,

For the Legends team's first mission in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2, they will go back in time to 1942 and protect Albert Einstein himself from being kidnapped just as the Nazis try to erase New York City from the map with a nuclear bomb explosion.

In the premiere episode that is aptly titled "Out of Time", Ray (Brandon Routh) will be joining forces with Sara (Caity Lotz) to face her nemesis, Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). The"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 episode will air on October 13 at The CW.
