Lenovo Vibe X3: Two Variants Launch in China, Available for Pre-Order

Lenovo has launched its latest smartphone, the Lenovo Vibe X3, in China last week. The phone, which is now open for pre-order, is available in two variants.

The successor to the Vibe X2 of last year takes on a different approach design-wise. Whereas the Vibe X2 opted for a flat rectangular design with rounded edges, the Vibe X3 is curvier and more "palm-friendly," states Fone Arena.

The publication, citing Romanian gadget blog Mobilissimo.ro, also reveals that the Lenovo Vibe X3 has two variants.

The two variants have some common features including a 5.5-inch full-HD display at 1,080p resolution and equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. They both also have a fingerprint sensor at the back, a dual-SIM slot, 4G LTE connectivity, three amplifiers, and Dolby Atmos Certified Audio.

Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite/Youth

The Vibe X3 Lite or "Youth" is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It has a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

The device packs two cameras, a 5-megapixel shooter at the front and a 13-megapixel camera at the back. It also features a dual-tone LED flash located below the camera sensor.

And a removable back panel reveals a 3,400 mAh battery.

High-End Lenovo Vibe X3

The "high-end" Lenovo Vibe X3, on the other hand, is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, with 3 GB RAM. It comes with two storage options, one with 32 GB and the other with 64 GB, both can be increased up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

It features an 8-megapixel front camera and a 21-megapixel rear shooter with autofocus and 4k video recording capability. The LED flash can be found to the right of the camera sensor.

Unlike the Vibe X3 Lite, this variant has a non-removable back protecting a 3,600 mAh battery.

The two variants are available for pre-order in China. The 64 GB Vibe X3 sells for 2,999 yuan (around $470), while the 32 GB version is priced at 2,499 yuan (around $390). On the other hand, the Vibe X3 Lite can be availed at 1,899 yuan (around $300).

No updates on whether or not any of the Lenovo Vibe X3 variants will be available in other regions have been made as of this writing.
