Leonardo DiCaprio News: Actor Speaks Up on Harvey Weinstein Controversy

Leonardo DiCaprio has given his two-cents worth on the Harvey Weinstein controversy.

While DiCaprio has collaborated with Weinstein for the movies "The Aviator," "Django Unchained," and "Gangs of New York," it did not stop him from speaking up on the controversy of the disgraced movie mogul as he recently shared on his social media account his opinion on the alleged rape and sexual harassment cases committed by Harvey against numerous names in Hollywood.

"There is no excuse for sexual harassment or sexual assault — no matter who you are and no matter what profession. I applaud the strength and courage of the women who came forward and made their voices heard," the Oscar-winning actor said without mentioning Harvey at all in his Facebook post last week.

To the uninitiated, Weinstein has been accused of rape and sexual harassment by multiple women after New York Times published a report that the movie mogul had been involved in sexual harassment cases and settlements involving at least 8 women for decades.

Following the said expose, more big names in Hollywood, such as Ashley Judd, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Asia Argento, Mira Sorvino, and Rosanna Arquette, came out and told their supposed horrific stories in the hands of Weinstein, too.

Apart from DiCaprio, other big names in Hollywood, such as Meryl Streep, George Clooney, and Jessica Chastain, have also condemned Weinstein and praised those women who bravely told their stories.

While Ben Affleck also condemned Weinstein's supposed sexual harassment acts after former "Charmed" star Rose McGowan, one of the women that Weinstein supposedly abused, tweeted him to speak up, it only paved the way for the "Justice League" actor's past to be dug up: The actor was also accused by one Twitter user of groping actress Hilarie Burton's breasts during an episode of MTV's "TRL" (Total Request Live) in 2003.

It did not take long for Burton to tweet that she has not forgotten the said incident.

Affleck admitted his mistake and apologized for it via a tweet.
