LG G Pad 2 News, Update: Spec Rumors Point to 3GB RAM

A new tech rumor arrived this week pointing out to the specifications of the purported LG G Pad 2. Thanks in part to the known tipster, Leaksfly, details of the forthcoming device has been revealed.

The news said that the device will have, under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. Leaksfly's Weibo page went on to describe an 8.3-inch device with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution screen. Judging from the said display size, it is speculated that the tablet could be the long-awaited sequel to the G Pad 8.3 which came out back in October 2013.

The gizmo will arrive with 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB expandable internal memory. The device appears to be steps higher than its predecessor which came out with only 2GB of RAM and 16GB of memory storage for its original model.

The LG G Pad 2 is likely to arrive with an 8MP primary camera coupled with a 5MP front facing snapper for video chats and selfies. As expected from a new-gen device, the latest LG G Pad is also touted to come out of the box with Android 5.1 Lollipop already installed.

As for its release date, Leaksfly announced to the Chinese social media site that the unit will be unveiled in October. The product's pricing and availability are still unknown as of the moment. Needless to say, none of the given information above has been officially confirmed and this should be taken with a proverbial grain of salt.
