"The smartest innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market is creating harmony between advanced technology and a simplified user experience," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG. "LG G3 is the result of our effort to actualize that idea into a tangible product. And we are extremely pleased with the result."

The device features a metallic exterior and some impressive specs including a 5.5-Inch Quad HD 2560 x 1440 display, a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13-megapixel camera and Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed.

The camera features UHD video recording with shoots in 3840 x 2160 resolution, optical image stabilization, and Laser Auto Focus. It also has a 2.1-megapixel camera in the front that works well for video conferencing.

Other features include 2/3GB RAM depending on the market, 16/32GB of internal storage and the ability to use an SD card. It packs a 3000mAh battery for extended use.

It is available in three different colors including Metallic Black, Silk White, and Gold Shine and it became available in South Korea on May 28.

LG released a new Quick Circle case that works with the smartphone to allow quick access to information through its circular window. It is designed to provide the best "grip-ability" for the handset and it comes in all the same colors.
