LG G3 Rumors: Special Feature Revealed in Leak

The LG G3 will feature a special landscape UX that was revealed in a recent leak.

The mode is a specially designed interface that makes use of the screen in wide mode. @evleaks released a screenshot that gives readers a first look at it.

The software in the picture mirrors the latest Optimus UI as it has flat icons across the screen. A fourth software button can also be seen at the bottom and is expected to function as a shortcut to toggle notification shade.

The first official press pictures for the LG G3 leaked onto the internet earlier this week.

The images display the smartphone in gold, black and white and were released by Phone Arena. The pictures basically confirmed some of the other versions that have showed up in previous leaks.

Even with the new pictures, it is still hard to tell whether the material that makes up the phone is metal or some other polycarbonate. It seems like this phone will be aesthetically pleasing, to say the least.

A Sprint user agent profile appeared last month and revealed what could be the actual specifications for the upcoming LG G3. One of the most impressive things about this list is that it reveals that the G3 will be one of the first smartphones to come with a qHD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution. This aspect still appears on the UA profile after the update.

Other specs found on the original list include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a quad-core Krait 400 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB, a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4.2, KitKat, LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi connectivity.

These specs were updated in a later report.

The device's RAM was changed to 2GB from 3GB which makes it the same as the LG G2. The camera modules received a bump in resolution as the profile now shows that the handset will come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with a 2.4 front-facing sensor.
