LG G3 Specs: Leaked Picture Shows Off Redesigned Back Buttons

A newly leaked picture of the LG G3 shows off what the back of the smartphone will look like.

The layout has been altered a bit as it is now complimented with some aluminum accents. The camera features an oval shape and a new component is found on it that could possibly be a sensor or IR blaster.

LG seems to be sticking with the back button design for its next-gen model.

A Sprint user agent profile appeared earlier this month and revealed what could have been the actual specifications for the upcoming LG G3. One of the most impressive things about this list is that it reveals that the G3 will be one of the first smartphones to come with a qHD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution. This aspect still appears on the UA profile after the update.

Other specs found on the original list include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a quad-core Krait 400 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB, a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4.2, KitKat, LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi connectivity.

These specs were updated in a later report.

The device's RAM was changed to 2GB from 3GB which makes it the same as the LG G2. The camera modules received a bump in resolution as the profile now shows that the handset will come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with a 2.4 front-facing sensor.

The software number was changed to LS990ZV1, but it will still most likely run Android 4.4.2.

A photo of the retail packaging for the LG G3 was leaked by The Verge earlier this month. The photo shows a Golden box with an LG G3 logo on it. This could be a confirmation of the LG G3 model coming on Gold, however, that also has not been confirmed at this point.
