LG G4 Pro Rumors, Specs, Release Date: 'Bigger' Flagship Will Boast All-Metal Body, Would Compete With Samsung Galaxy Note 5

LG has tried its best to catch up with the competition this part of the year. After launching the second generation G Flex 2 in January, the Korean manufacturer has decided to pass up both the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas later that month, and the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

In addition, LG also informally announced that it would discontinue the G Pro phablet, which the company began in 2012.

Now, according to a report by GSM Arena, the Korean manufacturer will replace its phablet family with a more premium lineup. Dubbed as the LG G4 Pro, there are not much details yet about the device, except that it would definitely compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in September. That also means LG could be preparing the smartphone for a late August, until late September release.

In the report, the device will allegedly boast a full metal body. The rumor came from Re/code, which claims that the LG G4 Pro would get a uniquely-processed aluminum for the smartphone's case.

While other brands have used metallic materials for their phones' frames, the G4 Pro will allegedly get a full body metallic case.

In case LG does launch the G4 Pro phablet in the coming months, some specs could include a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and a QHD (2560 x 1440) display.
