LG G5 News: Latest Video Teases Dual-Camera Set-Up

Another Korean smartphone manufacturer, LG, is said to be unveiling its next flagship device at a special press event on February 21, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.  According to a report in Tech Times, LG will be announcing the LG G5, the successor of 2015's LG G4. If rumors about the device are true, the upcoming device may come with a new design and a rear-facing dual-camera set-up.

Numerous rumors about the specs of the LG's flagship have been making the rounds and among these include a dual-camera set-up for the phone's main camera. According to the report, it was a third-party company who designs cases for smartphones that spilled the beans about the LG G5's camera set up. A leak of the case reportedly for the LG G5 showed off an intriguing set of cut-outs at the phone's back.

A recent report is backed by a video which showed off a 3D rendering of the device. The video, which found its way on YouTube, was made by TechConfigurations and is based on earlier reports about the phone's design and specs. It basically rounds up the rumored specs of the device which include a 5.6-inch display with 2K resolution and longer and thinner design compared to its predecessor, measuring 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.2 mm.

The video also claims that the device will sport the latest processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820, and an Adreno 530 GPU, paired with 4 GB of RAM. Volume control is now located at the left side of the device. Camera set-up is a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel dual camera set-up on its rear which offers support for 4K video and optical image stabilization.

According to the video, the phone's bottom panel will sport a USB Type C port for data transfer and charging. This is also where the microphone and the speakers will be located. A standard 3.5mm headphone port is located on top of the phone.

If the video report is true, the upcoming device may not have expandable storage support via miscroSD as well as a removable battery.
