LG G6, UX 6.0 Rumors: Company Teases New UI Platform With Multi-Window Support

A few days before the Mobile World Congress 2017 begins, LG has dropped another major teaser for the upcoming LG G6 and the latest version of their own user interface platform,  the UX 6.0, whichh features the earlier promised multi-window support.

Unlike other technology firms, LG is relatively loose when giving out bits of information about their upcoming products, and they just recently fed the world with another surprise teaser. On Wednesday, LG posted a video through their official YouTube channel that previews the yet-to-be-released UX 6.0 platform and implied that it will launch alongside the upcoming LG G6.

The message that the UX teaser video implies was pretty obvious since the entire 12-second trailer portrayed how multi-window support would feel as it lets smartphone users do multiple tasks at a time.

As previously announced by LG, the upcoming LG G6's display will sport a relatively handy dimension of 5.7 inches but is promised to bring the feel of a bigger screen through its 1,440 x 2,880 display resolution with 18:9 screen ratio.

It is important to note that multi-window support is not a new thing in the world of Android phones since the introduction of the Android 7 Nougat.

Now, LG is wasting no time at all to maximize the operating system feature through revamping their UX, and what better way to launch it than in a new smartphone with a super rare 18:9 screen ratio.

LG has previously hinted at a multi-window support as early as January when they released a separate teaser video that tells what people wish to find in their ideal smartphone. And unsurprisingly, the featured responses were about having a bigger screen on a handy phone.

Apart from the bigger screen ratio and interesting features that allow multitasking, LG also hinted at a water resistance feature.

Before January ended, LG sent out an invitation for their major event with the tagline "See More, Play More" on Feb. 26 during the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain. The LG G6, and now the UX 6.0, are expected to be presented in the said affair.

LG has yet to announce when the UX 6.0 update arrives on other LG smartphones.
