Life Teen Celebrate Twentieth Anniversary

LIFE TEEN, Inc. will commemorate its twentieth anniversary at an upcoming celebration in Southern California. Around three thousand people will gather Memorial Day weekend for the international youth ministry in Anaheim, California, for prayer and celebration.

Special guests will include music artists, Third Day in a private concert, Fr. Stan Fortuna, Matt Maher, Jesse Manibusen, and Dove music recipient Tom Booth.

Both spokesmen for LIFE TEEN, Mike Sweeney of the Kansas City Royals, and Matt Smith of MTV’s Real World, will be a part of the weekend. Opening Ceremonies will be hosted by Tom Wilson, who is known for playing Biff in Back to the Future.

LIFE TEEN’s Spokeswoman, Jennifer Swanson stated, “This celebration is a time for members of the LIFE TEEN family to gather, sing, pray, laugh, cry, and cherish some of the life-changing moments from the past twenty years.”

According to the press release, "The event is not exclusive to teenagers, but instead will be attended by LIFE TEEN alumni, former CORE Members, and families."

LIFE TEEN is a Catholic ministry providing resources and training to encourage teens to grow in their faith. Founded in Arizona and incorporated in 1987.

Anther highlight is a sneak peek at the new Chronicles of Narnia live motion picture, famous for its Christian storyline.

Attendees will participate in daily Mass, which will be followed on Sunday by a LIFE Night.

120,000 teens around the world gather in 19 countries weekly for the LIFE TEEN Mass and LIFE Nights. Over 950 parishes implement the model of youth ministry, with has given light to more than 300 seminarians and priests referring to LIFE TEEN as a reason for their vocation.
