Lil Twist, a Young Money rapper who regularly drives his famed friend Justin Bieber's car, was recently arrested for a DUI while in the vehicle.
Twist, the 20-year-old rapper who was born Christopher Moore, was arrested early Thursday morning for being under the influence of marijuana, according to E! News reports. The rapper was driving alone in 19-year-old Bieber's Fisker Karma and drove 69 mph in a 45 mph zone that led to the singer's gated community in California, according to E! News.
The publication was informed about the matter from LASD spokesperson Steve Whitmore. Bieber's vehicle was towed after Lil Twist was taken into custody and held on $5,000 bail. This is not the first time that Lil Twist has been reprimanded by authorities while driving Bieber's vehicle.
In May, the rapper was caught speeding behind the wheel of Bieber's car.
"Police pulled Twist over as he roared out of Bieber's gated community in Calabasas, but they let him off with just a warning," sources affiliated with law enforcement reportedly told TMZ.
Many have been questioning Lil Twist's influence on the singer for months. However, the rapper and singer have both defended their union.
"Lil Twist-- Bad Influence on Justin Bieber," a TMZ headline read earlier this year.
After similar headlines followed for months, Twist took to his Instagram account to speak out against the claims that he is the reason for Bieber's seemingly rebellious attitude as of late.
"I'm no influence, and I'm not running round claiming to be this role model… I live life, I'm a young adult who makes mistakes, (expletive) ups, #baddecisions , whatever u wanna call them like the rest of the (expletive) civilians in America," Twist wrote on the social media picture sharing website Instagram earlier this year. "But it makes u more of a bad person to sit home and judge someone u haven't took the time to learn about."
