'Limitless' episode 2 spoilers and pilot episode recap: Brian joins the FBI

In the forthcoming episode of "Limitless" entitled "Badge! Gun!" the synopsis reads, Brian puts his new job with the FBI in jeopardy when he disobeys orders to stay out of an investigation into the murder of a renowned journalist.

In the promo for the episode, it would seem that Brian will be at odds with his new co-workers and his boss since they think he is way too reckless. The chemistry between him and his partner is interesting and filled with tension.

The pilot episode began with some guys in trench coats as they chased a man named Brian Finch across Union Square. Brian ran past a poster of Senator Eddie Mora and he jumped in front of an L train. The guys were from the FBI and they wanted to arrest him.

The show flashbacked to where it all began and it introduces the viewers to Brian. Brian was an aimless guy who had a dead end job as a temp aside from being a musician. He hated his life until he met with an old friend Eli, who gave him a pill that will change his life.

The pill kicked in and his brain was fired up. He gave some advice to his female boss, who did not accept his advice. Brian suddenly knows how to do almost everything. Unfortunately, the effects do not last forever and the pill wore off.

Brian went back to Eli for another pill, but he found his friend dead in his apartment. The FBI arrived on the scene and Brian escaped using the fire escape. Then, it panned back to where the episode opened.

Brian got shot and he ended up meeting Eddie Mora, who gave him a lot of NZT drugs. Brian ended up helping the FBI solve the murder, and in the end, he was recruited by the FBI.

"Limitless" airs every Tuesday on CBS.
