Actress Lindsay Lohan will play Elizabeth Taylor in a biopic movie that will center around the late screen legend's love life.
Lohan will play Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime TV movie, "Liz and Dick," which will focus on Taylor's dysfunctional relationship with actor Richard Burton whom she married in 1964, according to FemaleFirst U.K.
"Liz and Dick" will also feature the Taylor and Burton's filming days on the set of the old school film "Cleopatra."
The 25-year-old troubled actress has been cast in the leading role on condition that she comply with her existing court orders, pertaining to her on-going legal woes.
In 2007, Lohan was convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) and although she is still currently on probation, she now continues to impress Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner.
"I'm pleased to say she's done it all. Just keep doing what you're doing, you appear to be doing it well. The probation officer has written a favorable report, as has the volunteer centre," Sautner told Lohan during her January court appearance.
Since Lohan began facing legal problems, including a brief stint in a L.A. prison, her once bright career has been on hold with a growing number of Hollywood film makers refusing to work with her.
Now that she has started turning her life around, which allegedly includes being drug and alcohol free, the former child actress is now back to what she does best, acting.
In March, Lohan will also be hosting an episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live, where she will be returning to the show for a fourth time.
As per the probation requirements that she must meet to maintain her role in "Liz and Dick," Lohan must also comply with the law and avoid trouble to secure her upcoming hosting gig.
Lohan is expected back in an L.A. court on Feb. 22, for a progress hearing.
