Liverpool are one of the most popular teams in the world and have a long history of winning European Cups. They can add another one to their list with this win and many consider them heavy favourites entering this battle.

They have gone through a lot of tough matchups to secure their place in the final, battling Manchester United in the last-16. They dominated their English rivals to secure their place in the quarters where they met another European heavyweight in Borussia Dortmund.

After a tight first leg, the two teams battled furiously at Anfield where Liverpool performed one of their best games to make it to the semifinals.

Once there, they had the task to battle Villarreal and they had to overcome a loss in the first leg to put on a dominating display at home to win 3-1 on aggregate.

Now they are only one win away from lifting the title and many hope that they can do well.

On the other hand, Sevilla are still strong as they are the defending champions and after winning it all last year. They are the most successful club in the competition – with already four UEFA Europa League titles under their name.

Coincidentally, Liverpool are one of the three teams with three UEFA Cups.

Similar to Liverpool, Sevilla had a tough time heading back into the final, facing tough teams like Basel in the last-16, where they won 3-0 on aggregate, then faced up against a familiar foe in Athletic Bilbao, where they had to win via penalty shootout, and eliminated a game Shakhtar Donetsk squad in the semis.

They certainly have a lot of personnel who can make the difference in the battle, and they are likely to put up an impressive showing in Switzerland for their travelling fans.
