Furthermore, they have not lost in their first three matches and their defence have impressed as they are yet to concede a single goal this season.

They started the season with a big win over Stoke City, with Philippe Coutinho being the main difference in the 1-0 triumph to erase their bitter loss last season.

Brendan Rodgers' men completed their second straight victory as they beat AFC Bournemouth behind Christian Benteke's goal in the 26th minute of the match. It was the game's only goal but it was enough to hand the Reds another three points.

In a marquee match-up between the Reds and Arsenal, the Merseyside club had multiple chances to score, with Coutinho hitting the post twice but settled for a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, West Ham United pulled off an impressive win in their first Premier League game but have not been able to replicate the same result in their next two.

The Hammers impressed with a 2-0 win over title favourites Arsenal in their first match of the season.

Cheikhou Kouyate and Mauro Zarate found the back of the net at the Emirates Stadium to get three points and a big win that looked to help West Ham move on with a positive start.

Unfortunately, it ended there as they suffered back-to-back losses against Leicester city and AFC Bournemouth.

West Ham have been able to score a lot of goals, with already six nets in the first three matches, but their defence should hold up against teams who have a proven threat.

Against Liverpool, the Hammers must shut down Benteke and Coutinho or risk picking up the ball from the back of the net multiple times.
