Logos Bible Software to Appear in List of 'Best Christian Places to Work'
Logos Bible Software, one of the worlds largest developers of Bible software, has been named a Best Christian Place to Work by a nationwide survey published in Christianity Today.
The Bellingham, Wash.-based company, which employs 100 people at its headquarters and sells to customers in more than 143 countries worldwide, will be included as one of the top 40 finalists from a workplace survey by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). The results will be published in the April issue of Christianity Today magazine.
We have come to see this survey as a leading indicator of future success for these finalists because of the high levels of organizational health and effectiveness, stated BCWI President Al Lopus in a news release from Logos.
The BCWI workplace survey asked more than 10,600 employees in 93 organizations across the United States to identify great workplaces with a Christian mission and/or values, posing questions to employees around six major categories attraction and retention, motivation and commitment, empowerment and relationships, rewards and benefits, growth and development, and Christian values. An independent panel of judges then weighted the employee scores, the employee survey participation rates and profiles in order to select the finalists.
Last years list, in order to avoid the unfairness, broke up participants into 11 categories. After independent judges weighed the data in a "blind" process, the list of 40 emerged.
Helen Lee, who served on the panel of judges last year, had approached Christianity Today several years ago with the idea of conducting the survey and later co-founded the Best Christian Workplaces Institute. Over the past three years, the researched-based firm has surveyed more than 40,000 employees across North America.
Based on this years survey, the Best Christian Places to Work in the United States are experiencing strong growth, low employee turnover and high levels of trust between employees and management.
In speaking of Logos employees, Bob Pritchett, the companys president/CEO, said It is a blessing to work with so many talented, passionate people.
After 15 years, I still think Logos is a great place to come to work every day, and Im glad so many of our employees agree, he added.
