'Longmire' season 4 news, cast spoilers: Longmire goes dark

"Longmire" is all set to return for its fourth season on Netflix this time. Not only is the series back with a vengeance but it also appears that it will be the most exciting season yet, as seen in the official trailer recently released.

Neflixlife posted the video and it seems that Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is more focused than ever in tracking down the killers of his wife. His journey in searching for the killer will lead Longmire's character astray as he is likely to start succumbing to his darker impulses. In the trailer, it can be assumed Henry Standing Bear, played by Lou Diamond Phillips, will be trying to stop Longmire from completely turning back from his values. However, Longmire will refuse to be hindered by anyone feeling that his second chance to live should be dedicated to revenging his wife's death.

From the trailer, it can already be assumed that there will be a lot of fights, and it could be of Longmire against the authorities and his own friends as they try to stop him from doing something he may regret.

Longmire was given a chance by Netflix after A&E dropped the show after three seasons. The decision was mainly due its inability to attract a younger demographic. Followers of the show were quick to express disappointment on A&E for the cancellation, but had revived hopes when it announced that it was getting picked up by the online-streaming company Netflix. Executive producers of the show also felt that Netflix would be good for the show as it could explore more options that the show wasn't able to do on A&E. It didn't take long to convince Netflix to adopt the series, as it was more than ecstatic to meet the producers and discuss future plans for the storyline.

The season will include 10 episodes and will premiere on Netflix this September.
