'Longmire' Season 6 Release Date: Netflix Drops Official Trailer, Announces November Return
Netflix has released the official trailer for the sixth and final season of "Longmire." It opens on a particularly bright and sunny day, but the scene that follows is anything but. Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is seen tied down to the ground as men walk away from him.
It can be recalled that Henry was kidnapped at the end of season 5 by Malachi Strand, played by Graham Greene. And while fans may be happy to know that he is alive, that may not be the case for very long. Henry can only survive for so long in the desert like that. Thankfully, Robert Taylor's Walt Longmire will be looking for his friend.
"Maybe I have stayed on the job too long," Walt says as he is seen looking at his badge. Cady (Cassidy Freeman) tells her father that he can leave his job "but only if you leave it on your terms." She encourages him to do what is right, and that means searching for Henry and saving him whatever it takes. Walt assures her that he will not just stand idly by and let them win.

"If I don't find Henry, he might die," Walt says, as Henry screams into the night.
The trailer also gives away that Walt does save Henry. He is shown dragging his unconscious friend across the desert. One scene finds Henry at the hospital, though it remains to be seen if he is in stable condition.
It is clear from the trailer that there is going to be some drama this season, as well as some probable deaths. Walt is hot on Malachi's trail. By his side is a pregnant Vic (Katee Sackhoff), who reminds him that he can always count on her.
The final season of "Longmire" will consist of 10 episodes, and Phillips directed the second episode. Season 6 will be released on Nov. 17 on Netflix.
