The two teams are very closely contested, and both are hungry to move on to the next round and will do what it takes to get a win over their rivals.

Despite sitting one seed lower in the rankings, the Mets showed that they are not only great in the regular season but also in the post-season after beating the Dodgers in Game 1.

Playing away from home, the Mets proved that their 90 wins in the season is proof of how good they are as they beat the Dodgers 3-1.

However, the Dodgers showed their class and determination as they rebounded from the big Game 1 loss to beat the Mets 5-2 in the next game. Still playing at home, they showed their home crowd that they are not ready to just give up their advantage of playing more games at home.

Unfortunately, the loss seemed to wake up the Mets from their slumber in the second game as they piled on the pressure when the match went to Citi Field.

The Dodgers also had a great game, but they were no match for the offensive prowess that the Mets put on display in Game 3.

Scoring started to pick up in the second inning when the Dodgers went up 3-0 in the middle of the second inning.

However, any confidence and cushion they had were immediately erased as four runs for the Mets gave them the lead when the inning was eventually over.

Then the following two innings resulted in a total of six runs for the Mets which put them up 10-3 at one point.

The Dodgers could not fire back and entering the ninth inning they were down 13-4.

Los Angeles fought valiantly with three runs to close the gap to six, but they fell short and now the Mets are only one win away from moving on.
