Los Angeles Kings vs New York Rangers Live Stream Free: Watch NHL Stanley Cup 2014 Finals Game 3 Online (NBC TV Start Time)

The Los Angeles Kings will go on the road to play the New York Rangers on Monday night in Game 3 of the NHL Stanley Cup 2014 Finals series. This is do-or-die time for the Rangers, and already they are basically in a must-win situation to keep their title hopes alive. The game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network or online through free live stream (details below).

The Rangers have not been behind in a game so far in this series, yet they find themselves amazingly 0-2 down, having lost both Games 1and 2 in overtime after having terrible third periods in regulation time.

That mean the Kings have basically played two full games without leading, and even though they have fallen down 0-2 in both games so far they have fought back in each to take things to overtime.

If the Kings come out of Game 3 with another win they will be on the verge of another Stanley Cup title, and it will be extremely difficult to see how the Rangers could recover from 0-3 to claim the win.

Tonight is likely to be another close encounter but the Rangers have to make sure they come out on the right side of the result tonight. If they can pull things back to 1-2 it would help swing momentum back to them slightly and give them confidence to perhaps get over the line to level things to 2-2. That's the goal right now for the Rangers; to win the next two games at Madison Square Garden, and be able to enter Game 5 with things all square again.

Whether the Rangers will be able to do that or not remains to be seen.

The Kings meanwhile will be wanting to play better than they have in Games 1 and 2. They know that until now, to an extent, they have been playing with fire, and they are quite fortunate to have been able to comeback in both games and steal wins from losing positions.

Kings captain Dustin Brown, who scored the winner in Game 2 has said, "Whether we're down two, up two, the situation doesn't change for us. Where we have faltered is at the start of games, the last three games, really. The mentality of our team is very black and white, and we've been missing that in the first period.

He added, "In saying that, our mentality allows us to stay in games and then kind of turn the tide over the course of the games. That's allowed us to come back. We got to get back to it at the start of games."
