Los Angeles Lakers Trade Rumors: Lakers Looking For Two Giants In Trade For Roy Hibbert And Larry Nance Jr.

The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly in search for two big men to take the place of center Roy Hibbert and power forward Larry Nance Jr.

According to a report by Danny Cox for the Inquisitr, the Lakers management is said to have their sights on the Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside and the Milwaukee Bucks' power forward/center Greg Monroe.

Whiteside has been a subject of trade rumors for months now. And as previously reported, the 26-year-old big man is seen as a potential asset for the Lakers, who are currently at one of their worst seasons in franchise history.

For the current season, Whiteside has put up some decent numbers. Throughout the 44 games he has played with the Miami Heat, so far, he is averaging 12.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.9 blocks, and 0.5 steals, through 28.3 minutes of playing time per game.

Monroe, on the other hand, is seen to be headed for the trading block after a mere six months of being handed $50 million. According to a report by Tim Cato for SBNation, while Monroe has been putting up some good enough numbers, he is seen as a more of a defensive liability.

Monroe was a first round pick (seventh overall) by the Detroit Pistons during the 2010 NBA Draft. The Milwaukee Bucks then signed him in July 2015 for three years.

For the current season, he has played in a total of 50 games so far and is averaging 16.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.9 steals, through 30.4 minutes of playing time per game.

In another report by Gery Woelfel for Racine Sports, the Bucks are also willing to let go of 24-year-old point guard Michael Carter-Williams and other players in their roster.

"From what I'm hearing is they (the Bucks) are willing to trade anybody not named Parker, Antetokounmpo or Middleton,'' an anonymous NBA executive said, as stated in the report.
