At least on the offensive end, the signs are good for the Los Angeles Lakers as the regular season draws near. They have scored more than 100 points on 3 of their first 4 pre-season games. The last game against Portland was especially remarkable from beyond the arc, shooting 8 threes as a team.

D'Angelo Russell has a very productive pre-season thus far, scoring 66 points and dishing 9 assists in 3 games. Julius Randle also contributed with 29 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in his last 2 pre-season games.

Russell has been making waves in the pre-season. According to SB Nation, head coach Luke Walton has noticed his resilience as a point guard, saying "This is the point guard! He's the leader!"

Kings pre-season performance

The Sacramento Kings, on the other hand, are 1-2 in their pre-season standing. After losing to the Lakers in their first match, they lost to the Golden State Warriors in a game held on October 6 at the SAP Center at San Jose.
