Louisville Cardinals vs Oregon takes place in the NCAA 2013 tournament Sweet 16 round on Friday night. The game will kick off the second and final day of the March Madness Sweet 16 round of games, and will decide who progresses to the Elite Eight. This Midwest region clash will see No. 1 seeded Louisville take on No. 12 seeded Oregon with the winner set to play the winner of Duke vs Michigan on Sunday in the Elite Eight.

So far Louisville have lived up to the billing as No. 1 seeds, and not many teams have looked so impressive in the tournament so far. They will be big favorites for this game and Oregon will have to be at their best just to keep this one close.

The Cardinals have been hugely impressive in defense until now, suffocating opposition possession and blunting their offenses.

Louisville have held their first two opponents, North Carolina A&T and Colorado State, to just 52 points on average over the first two games in the tournament, and have also forced an impressive 44 total turnovers.

The Cardinals set an NCAA tournament record with 20 steals in their second round twi against the Aggies.

Meanwhile, Oregon have surprised many to have won through to this round. They will feel they have more to give and will be vying for their biggest upset yet by taking down Louisville.

So far Oregon have beaten No. 5 seeded Oklahoma State, and No. 4 seeded St. Louis, to advance to this round.
