Macbook Air 2014 Release Date, Rumors: Laptop to Come in December or Next Year With Intel Core M Chip

Apple, with its recent success in launching their version of smartwatch, the iWatch and the highly-anticipated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, will likely be occupied in the coming months as they are yet to release these new product lines just in time for the holiday season. The new Macbook Air with Retina Display doesn't still have a concrete release date. However, tech rumors suggested that it will also come out this year and if not, earlier in 2015.

The Macbook Air will have the latest Core "M" chipsets which are thinner and is 50 percent faster on the overall performance while also offering 40 percent faster graphics performance.

One of the most talked about features that are also to be expected in the Mac computer is the Flash storage, which is reported to be up to 9x faster than a 5400-rpm notebook hard drive allowing its users to "virtually open and use it right away."

It will also have longer battery lives. The 11-inch is said to last up to 9 hours while the 13-inch variant could go up to 12 hours.

When it comes to the unit's construction, fans of the earlier Macs make it appear a bit bulky to carry or use. Now, with the new 14-nm Intel Broadwell chips, Macbook Air 2014 is expected to be fanless, ultralight, with an ultrathin chassis. Its multi-touch trackpad could also carry a new design with no mechanical clicker.

In the Apple site, the MacBook Air is revealed to come in two sizes, 11-inch which sells from $899 and 13-inch variant for $999. Considered to be one of the most powerful lap devices, the Macbook Air comes with a fourth-generation Intel Core processor with Intel HD Graphics 5000.
