MacBook Air 2016 news: New MacBook Air aims to be more budget friendly, revamp may be coming

As of today, Apple's MacBook is still one of the most sought after in the PC-Laptop marketplace. Although relatively pricier than other more well-equipped laptops, Apple has been so successful in setting a brand name that represents exclusivity, and which everyone wants to be part of. One of the most expensive products of the brand would be the MacBook Air.

However, Master Herald reports that the MacBook Air may become more budget friendly in its 2016 release. The estimated price being around $899. Many feel that this price may mean that some specs of the current Air will be lost, but it will definitely not be the case. It is said that the powerful GeForce GTX 950 dedicated video card will be one of its most prominent features. There are also rumors that the device will be supporting wireless charging and will be holding a Type-C USB, which is quite fresh to the market. Moreover, the 2016 Apple MacBook Air will definitely have the signature features of Apple such as its own Force Touch and famous Retina Display.

The next generation of MacBook Air is said to be released in 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, with an Intel Syklake-U chipset OS X El Capitan and a more improved battery life. It is also expected to be much thinner than the last time.

There are whispers about the release date of MacBook Air 2016 alongside the Pro 2016 on Sept. 9, which is the release of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. According to Yibada, the price drop of the current models is a clue that the arrival of the 2016 models is nearing. The revamped models will definitely be a hot commodity when it hits stores. However, it is also said that the release was pushed back into 2016, to let the iPad Pro take the limelight for a while, which will also explain retailers finishing their remaining stock before the new ones come out.
