Macbook Pro 2016 Release Date Delayed? Specs, Features, What to Expect

Specs Upgrade and a Redesign Awaits Macbook Fans in October

Apple fans are expecting the release of the MacBook Pro 2016 this coming June but it could be delayed until October to give way to a 13-inch Retina MacBook next month.

The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) slated this June was initially reported as the target date of the Pro release but Apple may be releasing a smaller MacBook variant, TheBitBag said. After the June window, the company may choose to release the MacBook Pro 2016 this coming October after the expected release of an iPhone 7.

This upcoming laptop iteration is something that tech aficionados have waited for because of the promise of major specs upgrade and a brand new design. The same report added that it will be slimmer than earlier releases and will also have bigger memory and a faster processor.

Fans are also expecting it to have a touchbar above the keyboard which would accommodate useful shortcuts for the users, Neurogadget mentioned. Some functions can also be performed using this touchscreen feature.

In September last year, Express noted that the tech company filed a patent which detailed the mechanics of a touch surface targeted to take the place of a keyboard in an Apple laptop. The company's technology proposed a "force-sensitive input structure for an electronic device" which provided feedback with a single surface tap.

There is also the news that the new MacBook Pro will be the first Apple laptop to have the Touch ID, a technology which has been earlier made available on the iPhone.

For heavy laptop users, the MacBook Pro 2016 will surely be a perfect buddy because it has a battery that can last for 10 long hours. There would be no need to worry that you will run out of battery when you need it the most.

It was added in a Fox News report that the upcoming release will also use the USB Type-C connection which is also expected to be part of other laptops coming out this year. This will help users save space with their connector.

When it comes to performance, the new MacBook Pro is expected to be faster and more efficient. The addition of graphics chips is targeted to improve the performance and speed of the laptop. A development in the speakers of the Pro can also be expected since Apple has introduced great speakers to its other releases like the 12-inch MacBook and even the iPad Pro.

With all things considered, do you think the upcoming MacBook Pro will not disappoint?
