'Mad Men' Season 6 Finale Recap: Don Draper Reveals His Childhood

This past weekend saw the season finale to the sixth season of AMC's hit drama "Mad Men." The episode titled "In Care Of" was full of surprises, and left Don Draper (Jon Hamm) even lower than he has been through out this season.

The relationship between father and daughter seems all but lost between Draper and Sally (Kierna Shipka). After a particularly unpleasant phone call with Sally, her father finds solace in heavy drinking, as he is wont to do. This drinking binge, however, has more negative consequences, as Draper wakes up in jail after punching a priest.

Drapper's family life becomes even more complicated when he and ex-wife Betty (January Jones) rekindle something of the romance they once had.

Betty seems happy with the attention from her ex-husband, but she's been burned one too many times, and knows that with Don and her, nothing is permanent.

"I love the way that you look at me when you're like this. But then I watch it decay. I can only hold your attention for so long," she said.

While things might seem complicated and unfortunate for Don, the episode has more in store for him – he hasn't reached his lowest point yet. In a moment of honesty, Don reveals his harsh childhood during a meeting with Hershey executives and his colleagues. While audiences might be glad to see Don being honest, his colleagues were not, and Don was asked to leave his job.

What will Don do next? What will opening up about his childhood stir up in him? It appears viewers will have to wait until next season to find out.
