'Madam Secretary' Season 3 Spoilers: Elizabeth's Enemies Seem to have Gained Access to Her Family; The President is Made to Make a Tough Call by His State Secretary

The computer of Elizabeth's son gets hacked while in a foreign mission.

In the premiere of "Madam Secretary" Season 3, Secretary Elizabeth McCord will put the President in a political dilemma. In the following episode of the political drama series, the Secretary and her staff prepare to take on important matters in Algeria which were left for her to handle after the untimely demise of the U.S. Ambassador. While there, her husband and their children will also encounter some surprises of their own.

Climate change

In "Sea Change", episode 1 of "Madam Secretary" Season 3, Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) will urge the President, Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine), to change his overall foreign policy and approach to climate change. Elizabeth believes that the changes she suggests to the President will be the solutions needed after a naval base in Bahrain is hit hard by a storm.

President Dalton will be torn because Elizabeth's suggestions could put his re-election at risk. Making a hasty decision on the matter could jeopardize his chances of winning. But, he has to make a decision soon in "Madam Secretary" Season 3 before it's too late.

Secretary's family in danger

The lady Secretary of State and her family will be dealing with a breach in online security after one of her children's computer is hacked. Speculations that Elizabeth's enemies are now threatening her family life rose because of this in "Modern Secretary" Season 3. It also appears that the Secretary's enemies will not be stepping back easily.

In the second episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 3, Elizabeth McCord will be using her noted negotiation skills to cautiously direct the peaceful turnover of power in the Algerian government to prevent a civil war. Secretary McCord has to deal with the change in the negotiation plans following the untimely death of Ambassador Roy Curtis (Dakin Matthews).

Campaign to save religious artifacts

While busy with the peace negotiations, the secretary's husband Henry (Tim Daly) will find himself involved in a campaign to save some religious artifacts in Algeria that were being destroyed by a person named Hizb al-Shahid. This is according to spoilers for the second episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 3.

Online security breach

Also in the episode titled "The Linchpin" of the political drama, Secretary McCord's children will be found in an impending danger after her son Jason's (Evan Roe) computer gets hacked. This will result in the McCord children having their own security detail assigned to them in "Madam Secretary" Season 3. Actor/screenwriter Michael Boatman will be guest starring, playing the role of FBI Director Keith Doherty. He will be helping in the investigation of Jason's computer getting hacked.

Balancing act

Although "Madam Secretary" Season 3 will not be returning for two more weeks, fans are excited to see the turns and twists as Elizabeth McCord juggles her important roles as State Secretary and a regular mom. The premiere is slated to return on October 2 on CBS.
