The Longshot story mode in "Madden NFL 18" -- first in the franchise -- revolves around fictional characters and football players on the rise to becoming the next big stars in the National Football League.

Like most story modes in sport simulation video games, the Longshot combines the elements of storytelling and video gaming. Thus, it only makes sense why "Madden NFL 18" players would request for an option to rewind Longshot.

EA Sports also added several new features under the Madden Ultimate Team mode. MUT Squads are now allowed to play seasons, new MUT Champions Monthly Leaderboards have been installed, and new lineup restrictions for MUT Champions events can now be applied.

Developers have also added a window where players can view and agree to Tournament Official Rules before going to Competitive mode. The tiles on the game's user interface now support video playback as well.

Other than the new gameplay features, EA Sports also added a long list of updates to enhance the title's overall performance. Developers has fixed "visual inaccuracies" on many players and coaches like David Harris, Leonard Floyd, Cameron Meredith, Robert Nkemdiche, Julius Peppers, Ameer Abdullah, Jim Caldwell and more.

Meanwhile, some of the highlighted changes offered in the update include fixing a bug that was used to prohibit players from tackling an opponent recovering from a fumble. There were also previous reports of receivers running to the wrong direction, an issue which EA Sports also addressed..

"Madden NFL 18" is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
