Madonna A Fan Of Taylor Swift's Music, Swift Thrilled At Compliment

Taylor Swift has a lot of fans, but a pop music icon has recently revealed that she likes the "Shake it Off" singer's music, and Swift is thrilled beyond words.

In an interview with Australia's Today show, the Queen of Pop, Madonna, talked about her present-day fellow pop stars including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and more.

"It's good to have princesses," said the 56-year old. "It means there's a lot of pretty dresses around."

Madonna then singled out one singer in particular and said, "I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. Can't get them out of my head."

Upon learning of Madonna's remarks, Swift took to her Tumblr page on Jan. 27 and wrote, "Thanks now I'm dead." The post was followed by the hashtags, "#HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS #BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARASSING."

It's no surprise that Swift has earned the admiration of Madonna because aside from churning out hit after hit, she has made a lot of friends in the music, movie, and fashion industry.

Swift has also gained fans all over the world for her catchy tunes as well as her generosity with her fans and her interactions with them. Aside from inviting them to secret listening parties, she is also known to send them gifts and give them advice.

The singer has recently posted some encouraging words on her Tumblr account for one of her fans, Caillou Pettits, who took to the website to tell the singer that he has been bullied and punched because of his name and his appearance.

Swift replied to Pettits and wrote, "I was really shocked to hear you say that you've been bullied because of your name because the first thing I thought when I saw it was 'woah, Caillou is such a cool name."

"You will always be criticized and teased and bullied for things that make you different, but usually those things will be what set you apart," she added. "The things that set you apart from the pack, the things that you once thought were your weaknesses will someday become your strengths…I think you look great the way you are…Don't let their ugly words into your beautiful mind."
