'Major Crimes' Season 4 Spoilers, Plot News: Find Out Who's Coming Over for the Show's Mid-Season Finale

The upcoming summer finale of TNT's hit police-procedural drama TV series "Major Crimes" Season 4 will feature a handful of guest stars that will surely make the event an exciting one.

According to casting updates, Patricia Wettig of ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" is coming over to the show to play the character named Virginia Ryan. The woman, who is also known by colleagues as "Fry-'Em Ryan," is a superior court judge famous among lawyers and cops as a very tough woman inside the courtroom.

In the episode titled "Fifth Dynasty," it was revealed that a past ruling decision to refuse a settlement deal with Aryan biker gang members brought in some dire consequences prompting her to call Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and her Major Crimes squad to help her solve the crime.

The forthcoming segment will also feature the acts of Malcolm Jamal-Warner who is actually returning for his role as Lt. Chuck Cooper. The actor was known in the '80s as Theodore "Theo" Huxtable in the famous family TV series "The Cosby Show."

The official synopsis for "Fifth Dynasty," which airs next Monday, Aug. 10, reads:

"After Major Crimes identifies a murder victim as the son of State Superior Court Judge known for being tough on criminals, the squad hunts through her current case load, which involves an Aryan motorcycle gang, and much to their surprise, connected to the disappearance of a 13-year old boy."

For the meantime, this week's episode titled "Wish You Were Here" will see the division taking on the case of a disturbing online video. The synopsis, which was posted at The Futon Critic says:

"When a YouTube video of a bloodied, half-naked man walking down the middle of a street with a gun goes viral, Major Crimes must decide whether the victim was targeted, or a potential suicide. Rusty asks Sharon for help as he finally finds Alice Herrera's brother, Gustavo."

"Major Crimes" Season 4 airs Mondays, at 9 p.m. on TNT.
