'Major Crimes' Season 4 News, Spoilers: MCU Works With the LAPD Following the Tragic Death of 2 of LA's Finest

Things are about to get even more exciting as the fourth season of TNT's hit police-procedural TV drama series "Major Crimes" forwards this week with an episode that will see the MCU working hand in hand once again with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Special Operations Bureau following the death of LA's two policemen.

The synopsis for the segment titled "Targets of Opportunity" was posted over at The Futon Critic and it indicates that after a shooting incident that leaves two LA police officers dead, the Major Crimes unit must work with Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney), the Deputy Chief of the LAPD Special Operations Bureau, to "piece together a high stakes case involving a fugitive witness."

The summary meanwhile said that viewers will also get to see Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) working on the case closely with the team with a secret intention of gathering "more background information to support his own, journalistic investigation into the life of the girl who called herself Alice Herrera."

On related news, Carter Matt dropped an advanced preview for an upcoming episode next month titled "Wish You Were Here." The segment, according to the publication, will see Rusty's big breakthrough on the Alice Herrera case.

The synopsis for the episode reads:

"When a YouTube video of a bloodied, half-naked man walking down the middle of a street with a gun goes viral, Major Crimes must decide whether the victim was targeted, or a potential suicide. Rusty asks Sharon for help as he finally finds Alice Herrera's brother, Gustavo."

For the meantime, "Major Crimes" Season 4 episode 7 airs this Monday, July 20, at 9 p.m. on TNT.
