Make a Photo Ornament

Ornaments can run really cheap if you buy them on sale after the holidays but if you try to find ornaments during the pinnacle of the season, you’ll find yourself wanting to stick to the popcorn lace and candy canes. But having an inexpensively decorated tree does not mean an ugly tree. The Christmas tree doesn’t end at just mall shop adornments or office corner fillers but it can be symbol of family unity and togetherness. You can do more than just buy Santa Claus ornaments and reindeers. Put what means the most on the tree: your family. One of the best ways is to make photo ornaments to hang on your tree or give as a gift to relatives.

Here is a simple yet great ornament to make with kids:

What you need are 6 popsicle sticks which can be found usually at hobby and craft stores. If you choose, you can buy the sticks in color which will save you the need to color the sticks with markers or water color. Put two of the sticks parallel to each other with the flat surface facing each other and insert another end of a third stick in a perpendicular fashion to the two. Repeat. Then glue the two pieces together and insert a photo. Tie a piece of string to one corner of the square.
