Manchester United will host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on New Year's Day as the Red Devils look to keep their unbeaten streak in the top flight.
United manager David Moyes is all smiles as his side seems to have found their grove after winning their last six games in all competitions.
There recent form have lifted them to the sixth spot in the table putting them only eight points behind leaders Arsenal. The Red Devils also look to build upon their recent victories over Hull City and Norwich City during the holiday period.
Despite a poor start to the season United are hoping to be able to further close the gap at the top and even make a second half title push, a thought that would not have been possible a month ago.
Moyes is hopeful that Wayne Rooney will be able to start after missing Saturday's win at Norwich with a groin injury.
However, he will still be without Robin van Persie and Phil Jones who are still recovering from injury as well as Marouane Fellaini who is still several weeks away from match fitness.
Tottenham will also be looking to build on their recent success which brought them level on points with United.
The club seems to have responded well after the firing of Andre Villas-Boas by earing seven points from their last three games.
New manager Tim Sherwood has played a more attacking line-up since replacing Villas-Boas and has led his side to victories over Southampton and Stoke as well as a draw against West Brom.
Tottenham should feel confident going to Old Trafford given that last season's win at the famed stadium was their first in 21 Premier League attempts. Spurs also will be drawing on their experience from earlier this season when the two played to a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane.
Kick off for the match is at 12:30 p.m. ET and can be watched online here.
